What is CDPAP?

CDPAP (Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program) is a New York State Medicaid program allowing individuals in need of care to hire friends, family members, or those they trust to serve as personal aides.

This program empowers patients to receive the high standard of care that only a close one can provide, while helping them maintain their dignity and independence.

for you?

Here’s what you required for eligibility:

Medicaid Eligibility

The patient must be a New York resident eligible for Medicaid.

Need for Assistance

They must require assistance with daily living activities or skilled nursing care.

Medical Stability

The program is exclusively for those with a stable medical condition, and requires authorization by a physician for this manner of at-home care.

Self-Direction Capability

Individual must be capable of self-directing their care or have a designated representative who can direct care on their behalf.
